Outfits Inspired By Yummy Desserts

By Visitor emma
When designing lines, fashion designers are inspired by many aspects of our lives  - nature, animals, history, different cultures etc. Colour palette and style combinations are coming from these aspects turning fashion into a real story that tells about itself from the look.

Let's also follow the designers' inspirational path and be open to adapt new shades into our wardrobe playing around with different colours taken from our environment. When looking for an outfit, just pay attention around you and get inspired by things surrounding you.

What I've tried to do is to put together a couple of outfits that are inspired by sweats - very yummy - and that reflect the shades of the desserts.

The first outfit is a reflection of a coffee cake carrying the shades of brown from dark chocolate one to a bright sand colour. At the end of the day, it is more of a safari style, it looks calm and stylish.

1. VALENTINO Knee-length braided boots 2. Miranda Medium Drawstring Bucket Bag • Michael Kors 3. J.W. ANDERSON Pleated cotton-canvas skirt • J.W.Anderson • $783 4. 8 Other Reasons Vengeance Necklace  5. VETEMENTS Belted trench coat 6. Short Leather Gloves

This colour mix is a real discovery for me, I've never thought of pairing dark chocolate colour with pink before. And I love it, because the outfit contains two contrasting colours, which is beautifully brightened up with a mixed-colour handbag.

1.VICTORIA VICTORIA BECKHAM pocket detail shift dress 2. CHRISTOPHER KANE Diagonal cross-front wool coat 3. MARNI flower print shopper tote

Moving to brighter colours, the below flawless dessert inspired me to combine yellow, light brown and red, which in fact I think looks great.

1. MISSONI Tri-colour geometric dress 2. Lilliana Sleeveless Waterfall Jacket 3. Desert Springs Mini Daydreamer Bag

The last outfit is more of experimental one, because it pairs two very different styles and materials. While the white dress with asterisk-prints is a summer type light clothing, the coat is more of solid military style.

1. YANG LI Big Coat 2. VIVIENNE WESTWOOD ANGLOMANIA Saturday asterisk-print cotton dress

Hope you'll like my inspirational path. Please also share what inspires you when choosing your outfits.
