Valentino's Spring/ Summer ad campaign has finally been realized.
The brand's new season 2016 collection has taken its inspiration from the African culture, the clothes were inspired by African motifs and the shooting was staged in Kenya, in the Amboseli National park.
Valentino explained that the beauty looks for the campaign were created in the name of cross-cultural exchange. Guido Pala, the hairstylist for Valentino's spring show mentioned, "The clothes have some tribal inspiration, so the hair has that feeling as well... It's a bit influenced by the '60s and '70s when girls used to travel and they would bring back inspiration from other places and cultures, which is kind of an eclectic way of styling yourself."
The Italian photographer Stephen McCurry, who is best known for "Afghan Girl" photograph for National Geographic, shot beautiful models Alice Metza, Cameron Traiber, Greta Varlese, Kirin Dejonckheere and Tami Williams for the campaign.
